Chill Pill Tincture, herbal support for anxiety, nervousness

Chill Pill Tincture

This tincture does what its name implies: helps a person to chill. It is calming, soothing, supports nervousness, agitation, helps relax, and supports sleep. This tincture contains very small amounts of stronger calming herbs, which can be extremely beneficial to some people, and for others, it may be too relaxing or cause sleepiness. So make sure to trial this tincture out for yourself at home. If the tincture causes drowsiness, then cut back the number of drops you take. Some people may only need a few drops at a time, and some people will need dropperfuls at a time. Each person's nervous system, constitution and genetics are just different.

I added glycerites for glycerin's sweet taste, as a sweet taste is very comforting when we are stressed and glycerin does not disrupt blood sugar. The addition of these glycerites do not give this tincture a "sweet" flavor like a candy or something similar we are accustomed to in this culture, but rather gives this tincture the ability to be taken straight. (As many tinctures are pretty difficult to be taken straight and not taken in a small amount of tea or water). And gives people the ability to take this tincture with them when they are out and about and may need this tincture on the fly.

Fresh Milky Oat Seed: (Avena sativa/fatua) The base of this formula. This herb, used fresh, is a magnificent restorative for the nervous system. Especially for exhaustion , burn-out, extreme stress, and support for sleep.

Motherwort: (Leonurus cardiaca) grown right here on my property. This herb can be helpful for melancholy, restlessness, nervousness, and is support for the heart, all while being very comforting.

Lemonbalm: (Melissa officinalis) grown right here in Denver. Lemonbalm is often helpful for the winter cold care season, but is a soothing, mild and uplifting herb that supports nervousness, trouble sleeping, and helps aid clearer thinking and additionally helps support digestion.

Linden: (Tilia spp.) this incredible herb relaxes tension and stress.

Betony: (Pedicularis grayii/racemosa) An amazing skeletal muscle soother and helps with muscle pain, helps support sleep.

Passionflower: (Passiflora incarnata) very relaxing, reduces tension, stress, and supports healthy sleep. Soothes nervousness, restlessness, exhaustion and agitation.
Is calming and uplifting.

California Poppy: (Eschscholzia californica) helpful for healthy sleep, stress, nervous agitation and tension, helps soothe spasms and is calming.

Rose glycerite: (Rosa spp.) I added glycerites for glycerin's sweet taste, as a sweet taste is very comforting when we are stressed, and glycerin does not disrupt blood sugar. Rose helps soothe stress, heal heartache and is uplifting.

Lavender glycerite: (Lavandula angustifolia) I added glycerites for glycerin's sweet taste, as a sweet taste is very comforting when we are stressed and glycerin does not disrupt blood sugar. Lavender has many studies supporting its ability to soothe tension, is calming, supports sleep and is uplifting and reassuring. Even though it relaxes, it maintains mental alertness.

Fresh juiced ginger and glycerin: (Zingiber officinalis) Ginger is known as a synergist or catalyst, which helps enhance the formula or helps it work more quickly. Additionally, fresh ginger contains anti-inflammatory properties that dried ginger does not posses. Ginger greatly helps with soothing digestive issues and can help with congestion and respiratory issues. Plus, it tastes pretty darn good!

If you only need a milder calming tincture, be on the lookout for my Chill Pill Jr.!

+++++INFORMATION ABOUT MY TINCTURES+++++
I'm so excited to now offer tinctures, syrups, elixirs, vinegars and more remedies on my Etsy site! And I'm offering these items for a great deal less than others are selling these items. Why? For a few reasons.

One, because many of these tinctures and remedies have been created through the many classes I teach. I have to mix up the formula BEFORE the class, then we create the formula again IN class, and every time, I have quite a bit of the finished formula left over. Which I have used these additional remedies in my own home medicine cabinet for years, but now I just have TOO much plant medicine for my family to use alone. So I offer these remedies to you at this superb discount so that you too can use herbal remedies in a cost effective manner. I'm well-trained (and teach many classes) on the proper weight to volume tincture creation for each herb, and I research Moore, Tilgner, Buhner, Easley, Cech and others to decide which percentage of alcohol is best for each herb. My herbs almost exclusively organic and the few I can't get organically, are wildcrafted. The herbs are also continually rotated through, so I never have old, useless herbs being used as medicine.

Another reason is that I want to carry a few tinctures and remedies that I use quite often with my own clients. So some medicines I want to be cost effectively available for my clientele.

And lastly, in addition to tinctures and remedies from my classes and for clients, I also grow what is getting to be a large herb garden at my home. I mostly grow herbs for my herbal products to be infused in oils, but some herbs I just grow because I am fascinated with them, or I want to see all the stages of growth from the beginning to end of a particular herb. And often once I harvest these herbs, I'll put them directly into alcohol to make a tincture. And it usually makes a LOT! A perfect example of this is my elecampane tincture. I watched and watered and grew this plant for two beautiful years, so I could harvest the 2nd year root. It was a fascinating experience as I watched this plant grow more than 7 feet tall, gorgeous yellow flowers blooming and when I dug up the root, which took help from my husband and kids, there was SO MUCH root. So I put it all in alcohol and now have the most incredible brownish rose colored tincture to sell here on Etsy. So much love goes into these tinctures and remedies - but take advantage of these medicines now! As the tinctures with my handwritten ingredients on them, likely won't be replenished. Once I sell out, I likely won't make more. Green Blessings to you and hope you enjoy the magick of herbal medicine!
